Dear Jim is a letter, a poem, and a
narrative which takes place in the past, the present, and the
future. The narrator begs forgiveness from someone for her neurotic
obsession and paranoia, falls into a lapse of unknowing, and
then finally plays out the obsessive narrative which has caused
her to be held captive by the apparition Jim. This short text
animation touches on the ideas of love and perception becoming
driven by the mechanisms of media and technology while flirting
with the genres of experimental, confessional, poetic, and narrative
writing.
