This video installation / sculpture uses all of the files on my computer to create three streaming videos representing everything on my computer's hard drives on a given day. The files were organized by type: image, text, video/audio. Using the computer's native organizational systems (primarily alphabetical), these files were converted into video tracks at the default settings of the video program, thus allowing the computer to have authorship of how the content would be displayed. In 380GB, snapshots, downloaded material, private documents, and finished works of art all slide up against one another. Heirarchies of information are broken down by the democratic organizational system. The detritus of a life lived digitally parades across the screens at a dizying but legible pace.
